Peamount Hospital

The ask

Peamount Healthcare has been providing high-quality healthcare for over a century.

Today they specialise in rehabilitation, residential and community services, providing first class person-centred care for their many residents and service users. But Peamount Hospital needed a modern TV system that would live up to the high standards set by their dedicated care staff.

The idea was to provide residents and service users with a smart TV system that would afford them the flexibility and independence that they came to expect from Peamount.
While at the same time, providing staff with central control over the system would also free up more time for them to focus on what they do best.

The fix

The solution for Peamount was the installation of a full Philips CMND TV system.

Philips is an HSE-approved vendor and we are a Philips Platinum partner, so we were perfectly placed to fit the hospital with their ideal system.

We focused on Philips CMND TV – a TV distribution system using Philips technology that operates over IPTV (Internet Protocol TV).
This solution provides much greater flexibility and ease of distribution, allowing hospital staff to manage multiple displays from a single central location.

Residents benefit from the addition of smart technologies into each of the bedrooms, providing them access to several apps on their new TVs, along with the ability to cast from other devices to the TV.

The result

The result was an all-round success for everyone in Peamount – residents and staff alike.

With the flexibility offered by their new smart TVs, residents and service – users are afforded a greater degree of independence and control over what they watch and how they watch it.

At the same time, hospital staff have less to worry about when it comes to managing the TV system.
They have switched from an old-fashioned setup of individual TVs in separate rooms, to a modern IPTV system with full control over all devices in every room from one central location.

This means less of their valuable time spent worrying about TV controls, maintenance, updates or support, leaving more for them to focus on the individuals they are caring for.

Our input on site will remain minimal, with future updates to scale or change units requiring just a quick and easy fix, but Peamount have asked us to provide a little support work as and when required, which we take as a sign that they are pleased with the service they received.
