Sheen Falls Lodge

The ask

When you stay at Sheen Falls Lodge in Kerry, you expect nothing but the best.

From conferences to weddings and weekend breaks to spa retreats, the five-star resort cradled in the heart of Kenmare Bay is synonymous with luxury, providing the ultimate in hospitality and setting the bar for event excellence.

So, when the hotel’s Singaporean owners reached out to Samsung Ireland about a new AV system to match the hotel’s five-star standards, they recommended MJ Technologies for the job.

As one of Ireland’s largest Samsung hospitality dealers, Samsung knew that we would provide the resort with the bespoke AV solution they required, tailored to their exact needs.

Our challenge was to ensure this solution matched the five-star service that Sheen Fall Lodge guests come to expect, whether they were hosting a conference or meeting, unwinding in their bedroom or relaxing in the bar.

The fix

The solution involved three core elements: a new TV system throughout the hotel, an upgrade to existing meeting room technologies and a new audio system for the bar and restaurant.

When relaxing in the privacy of their room or suite, Sheen Falls Lodge guests expect a luxurious five-star experience that offers the same level of convenience they enjoy at home.

To this end, we designed and retrofitted the hotel with a full Samsung TV solution that provides guests with a personalised in-room experience with an at-home feel, complete with smart TV applications.

Our choice of Samsung’s LYNK REACH 4.0 (Remote Enhanced Active Control for Hospitality) content management solution provides the hotel with centralised control of the entire network, improving their operational efficiency along with total control over design and content.

We worked closely with the hotel to design a bespoke guest welcome screen for every TV, with on-screen menus that the hotel can adjust to include seasonal offerings, restaurant menus, spa treatments and more – all with a design and colour scheme that reinforces the Sheen Falls brand.

We updated the hotel’s meeting and conference rooms so that business guests have everything they need, whether hosting a meeting for two or a conference for 100.

With first class projection, display and audio solutions from Barco, Panasonic and Sennheiser, a business appointment at Sheen Falls Lodge gets the five-star AV solution that you would expect.
With a brand-new audio system in the bar and restaurant, the same can also be said for a dinner or drinks appointment.

The result

Sheen Falls Lodge now has an AV-system to match the hotel’s five-star standards.

Guests can expect a first-class audio-visual service wherever they are in the hotel, with personalised content that reinforces the hotel’s commitment to quality and their brand identity.

The hotel’s AV system is now run entirely by in-house staff, who manage all content and distribution from a central location, which saves time and improves operational efficiency.

Sheen Falls Lodge were incredibly happy with the solution and have since turned to us for several other AV projects, including upgrading their cottages and their sister hotel in

Dublin, with more work in the pipeline for 2021.
