Datapath's VSN1170 video wall controller has been designed for large video wall installations and control rooms. Suitable for operation centres military facilities process control service boardrooms classrooms and hospitals the VSN1170 offers the perfect balance between video capture and image display. Providing seamless compatibility with Datapath’s portfolio of Vision capture and Image graphics cards the VSN1170 has been designed developed and optimised to provide Ultra High Definition video & audio capture including the capture of multiple independent HDCP sources for display across the entire video wall.

The VSN1170 is an industrial PC incorporating a Datapath 11 slot PCIe backplane. The switched fabric technology provides 11 eight lane PCIe slots implemented with 16 physical connectors with each slot capable of providing up to 8 GB/s bi-directional bandwidth.

Each system includes the Datapath SBC4 a single board computer that features an Intel Core i7 processor up to 16 GB of DDR3 memory and on-board graphics.

The flexibility of the Express11-G3 technology allows multiple backplanes to be arranged in a star configuration providing the ability to create very large systems comprising several chassis each with 11 available slots for video capture inputs and/or graphics outputs connected via the optional Gen3 expansion kit.

Software Features
When used in conjunction with Datapath's WallControl-red software users of the VSN1170 are also able to easily manage the entire video wall. Features of Wall Control software include the ability to: control video resolution and scale cropping area frame rate and position of the output on the video wall. The Datapath Vision set of drivers allow OEM suppliers to build efficient display control and content management applications making full use of the underlying hardware capability.

Datapath’s WallControl-red application offers an effective tool for display controllers in diverse end user markets.Datapath’s WallControl-red video wall software is designed to make full use of Datapath’s graphics and capture hardware technology and maximises the use of available hardware acceleration both on video inputs and outputs. WallControl-red video wall software allows advanced interactive desktop control and configuration interactively opening moving sizing and positioning video overlay RGB/ DVI/ SD/ HD windows and Microsoft Windows application software. This is a useful application where specific areas of captured input need to be individually display and controlled such as command and control video walls.

The VSN1170 video wall controller has been designed for use in demanding control room environments with each component having been rigorously tested to ensure high levels of reliability and performance.

Each VSN1170 is pre-installed with Wall Monitor software an application that monitors system temperature and includes alarm mechanisms that can warn operators if the system begins to operate outside of normal parameters.
